4:56 pm - Bad September again illuminates the Bedlam -- Friday, May 14 at 10:30pm
Dear fellow sophisticates,

Bad September is performing on the Bedlam's Mainstage at 10:30pm on this Friday, May 14th as part of their late-night performance series.  Details here.  We will perform after Live Action Set's production of The Happy Show (at Bedlam) and just down the street from Walking Shadow's production of The Transdimensional Couriers Union (at the Cedar Riverside People's Center).  Happiness!  Time travel!  Steampunk!  The cover is just $5, with $1 off if you attend either Happy Show or TDCU that night.  We hope you will join us there.

p.s. Bad September was on the cover of this month's issue of Minnesota Playlist. Hip-hip-hurrah!

So, uh, if you're the sort of person who likes stuff -- and I know I am -- you should come see our Retro-Futurist band Bad September play the Bedlam Theatre's Fireside Room on Tuesday, March 23rd.  Only a $2.00 cover.  And, as you might guess, I'm rather excited about it.

Also, when you're there, you should wish [info]therightwaye  a happy birthday.

11:57 am - Mojo - final two performances
Last chances are tonight and tomorrow.  And the reservations are already pretty solid.  This show has been really excellent and I want to make sure that our nearest and dearest get a chance to see it.  'cause, well, we love you guys.  And what's the point of doing stuff unless you can share it with your friends?

Is there an improv form based on the principle of "No, But..." rather than "Yes, And..."?  If so, where could I see this performed?

10:01 am - I found this in my computer while doing rewrites, from 19 Oct 2004
From A Zombi-Killer's Daybook of 1760 - On the matter of first introductions...

Upon hearing such grotesque thumping sounds I gripped a firebrand from the hearth and flung open the bedchamber to be greeting by some alarmingly visaged men, or perhaps former men. Their limpid sad flesh hung around their eyes and arms in rotting heaps making me believe them either unfortunate creatures known in the West Indies as 'zombi' or over-fed MPs limping with gout.

Pointing the firebrand in the menacing manner of my French ballet master I inquired to their intentions.

'You sirs,' I said, in a voice worthy of mighty Hercules, 'Make known your business or I shall see you horsewhipped!'

'Brains!' was their monosyllabic reply, which I daresay shed no light upon which House they represented. I assumed Commons and swung my firebrand squarely into the neck of the foremost man; yet when it held fast without causing him to utter the slightest cry, I realized my conclusion had been based upon false premises and made haste to the balcony.

I was number 192 at my polling place. Apparently that still wasn't early enough to get a good deal on new laptops and flatscreen TVs. I am sad.

But for what it's worth, I think I got all the answers correct! I love multiple choice. Can't wait for grading tonight! Everyone swap papers with the person sitting next you. [info]pezwitch has probably graded more of my tests than anyone else, but now her last name is different. What will I do?!

9:09 pm - Short play about the election
Hey all!

I just wrote a short (5 minute long) play to be performed at a 24-hour art festival in London on the night of the US election. Why are they celebrating our election? Why don't we celebrate their elections? Who knows!

Since it's unlikely to receive a performance in the Twin Cities before the election, and it's reasonably topical, I thought I'd put it online for y'all to see. Enjoy!
